An information system for public transport passengers is being implemented in Yerevan. This was announced on December 1 at a working meeting in the City Hall by Sarkis Manukyan, Director of the Yerevan Management Technology Center. The project is being implemented as part of the urban transport modernization program.
Information boards have already been installed at a number of bus stops, showing routes and arrival times of transport in real time. Currently, the boards are operating at six stops. Another 30 devices have been delivered to Yerevan and are undergoing customs clearance; preparatory work for their installation will begin in the near future.
Manukyan clarified that the information boards are integrated with the "Yandex" application, which ensures synchronization of transport movement data.
