Armenia Turns Into a New Power Center and Builds an AI Hub with Nvidia for $500 Million

Armenia is Preparing for a Geopolitical Leap

Forbes has published an article about how Armenia is rapidly changing its status on the world map. According to the publication, the country is forming a new, albeit compact, geopolitical center, relying on decades of diaspora investment and a recent peace agreement with Azerbaijan, reached with the mediation of Donald Trump. An important role is also played by its location between Turkey and Iran, which enhances the strategic importance of the state.

A key step forward was the project to create an AI data center worth $500 million. The joint Armenian-American company Firebird.AI will build the infrastructure based on Nvidia chips — deliveries have already been approved by the United States. Forbes emphasizes that the hub should become the foundation of a new technological economy, giving Armenia a chance to join the club of countries that shape the global architecture of artificial intelligence.

The publication also mentions major initiatives of the Armenian diaspora — from the Aurora humanitarian project to the United World College in Dilijan. But development coexists with the shadow of unresolved conflicts: the example of businessman Ruben Vardanyan, arrested in Azerbaijan, confirms that private investors have enormous influence but remain vulnerable without state protection.

The EU and the US are increasing their presence in Armenia, developing educational and startup ecosystems. More and more young Armenians are choosing Western programs to connect to global technology networks and participate in building a new Armenia.
