Cybersecurity expert Samvel Martirosyan has announced the spread of a new fraudulent tactic on Facebook*.
According to him, fake pages tag Armenian accounts in posts and leave frightening messages, encouraging them to click on a link or fill in personal data. This approach is designed to capitalize on the moment of fear and is a type of hacking attack.
Martirosyan urged users to ignore such notifications, not to click on links, and especially not to enter any data. He emphasized that attackers use social engineering, and their goal is to gain access to pages, mail, or banking information.
The expert reminded that in case of suspicious mentions, you should immediately check the authenticity of the page, enable two-factor authentication, and, if necessary, complain about fraudulent content.
