The "Slavmed" Medical Center became the first in Armenia to introduce a robotic surgical system. Robotic surgery has been used in leading clinics around the world since 2008, and now this technology has become available to Armenian patients. The system installed in "Slavmed" has already marked more than 20 world records and demonstrates 100% success rate of operations performed.
The center emphasizes that the introduction of the robot is part of a long-term strategy to transfer advanced international medical practices and the latest technologies to Armenia. According to Armine Hovakimyan, founder and director of the "Slavmed" Medical Center, the clinic's doctors have received specialized training abroad and are fully prepared to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in practice.
The robotic system provides significantly higher accuracy, improved visualization and greater freedom of movement compared to traditional surgery. This allows even the most complex operations to be performed in a minimally invasive way, reducing the burden on the patient and increasing the overall effectiveness of treatment.
