Yandex Go turns food orders into aid for Armenia's nature

Purchases at Carrefour now help collect a map of wild fauna and support rare animals

The Yandex Go service has launched the "Friend of Armenia's Animals" project in Armenia, which allows people to help wildlife simply by ordering groceries. When placing orders at Carrefour through the app, users not only receive special stickers, but also participate in a charity program: for each order over 5,000 drams, the service transfers 300 drams to the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC).

The project is implemented in a game format. For an order of 5,000 drams or more, the buyer receives a sticker with an image of one of the animals and a card with brief information about its habitat and diet. When ordering from 10,000 drams, an Armenia map is additionally issued, on which you can stick the collected animals. Having collected 5 different species on the map, a participant can receive a special badge "Friend of Armenia's Animals" - to do this, you need to show the completed map at Carrefour in Yerevan Mall.

In total, the collection includes 10 species of animals, including roe deer, wild boar, Sevan trout, otter and weasel, as well as rare and endangered species - the Caucasian leopard, the Armenian mouflon and the bearded vulture. All funds raised will be used to feed brown bears and other wild animals, as well as to care for, treat and rehabilitate animals rescued from captivity and under the care of FPWC.
