EBRD forecasts strong economic growth for Armenia in 2026

The Eurasian Development Bank (EADB) expects Armenia's economy to grow by 6% in 2026. According to the bank, activity in the country increased by 8.3% in January–November 2025 compared to the same period last year. The main growth drivers were the service sector (+10.9%) and construction (+20.1%), while industry showed growth of 31.7% in November. At the same time, exports and imports maintained negative dynamics (-40.6% and -27.4%, respectively).

According to the state budget, GDP growth for 2025 is projected at 5.1%, and for 2026 – 5.4%. The Central Bank of Armenia in its monetary policy report estimates growth for 2025 in the range of 5.9%, and for 2026 – from 4.1% to 6.3%, depending on the scenario.

Forecasts from international financial institutions also demonstrate positive dynamics: the World Bank expects growth of 5.2% in 2025 and 4.9% in 2026, the IMF – 5% and 5.5%, the EBRD – 6% and 4.5%, and the ADB forecasts growth of 6%. These data confirm the sustainable trend of the country's economic development and maintain investor optimism.
