Electricity tariffs for consumers in Armenia will remain at the current level in 2026. This decision was made by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic following a meeting on December 30. The regulator announced that the current rates will remain in effect for at least another year, despite expectations of possible changes.
The PSRC explained that all factors that could affect the cost of electricity were taken into account during the analysis, including both positive and negative ones. Based on the assessment, the commission concluded that there is no need to adjust the tariffs for electricity sold by "Electric Networks of Armenia" to end consumers. At the same time, tariffs were approved for large generating stations and participants in the electric power system.
Currently, the tariff for socially vulnerable families is 29.99 drams per kWh during the day and 19.99 drams at night, while for other residential consumers it is 44.98 and 34.98 drams, respectively. For legal entities, daytime tariffs range from 41.98 to 50.48 drams, and nighttime tariffs range from 37.98 to 40.48 drams per kWh. Previously, the interim manager of "Electric Networks of Armenia" admitted the possibility of revising tariffs at the beginning of 2026, but the regulator decided to keep them unchanged.
