Kapan changes transport: new buses, cashless payments and a new service

City routes switch to updated municipal transport and a modern payment system

New buses have arrived in Syunik's Kapan, and from January 1, city routes will be served by updated municipal transport. For the city, this is not just a replacement of rolling stock, but a de facto restart of the entire passenger transportation system with an emphasis on convenience, stability and accessibility.

Simultaneously with the launch of new buses on the lines, a new municipal service starts operating in Kapan, in which 50 jobs have been created. This will ensure the regularity of flights, centralized route management and more precise control over the quality of passenger service, including the technical condition of transport and compliance with schedules.

Changes have also affected fare payment. Now passengers can pay with a bank card, contactless from a smartphone, or with the usual cash coins. This approach makes travel more convenient for both local residents and visitors to the city, and public transport itself is modern and meets current requirements.
