Armenia plans to ban the dissemination in foreign television and radio programs of content aimed at interfering in the country's internal political life. The draft law on amendments to the law "On Audiovisual Media" provides for a ban on the promotion of violence, cruelty, and attempts to overthrow the constitutional order, and also clarifies the rules for the operation of network operators and distributors of media programs.

The changes introduce clear mechanisms for suspending and terminating licenses, update penalties, and increase the effectiveness of control over the media space. The goal of the initiative is to protect citizens from disinformation and malicious content, limiting external attempts to influence Armenia's information field.
The adoption of the law will create reliable legal instruments for information security and strengthen the manageability of the media sphere, ensuring the protection of national interests and the stability of the internal political environment.
