Starlink приходит в армянские школы: спутниковый интернет доберётся до самых удалённых районов

SpaceX передаст более 100 терминалов для подключения учебных заведений к высокоскоростной сети

Starlink, part of Elon Musk's SpaceX, will donate over 100 internet terminals to schools located in remote areas of Armenia. This was announced by the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, noting that the project is being implemented as part of the ministry's cooperation with the American company.

Thanks to satellite terminals, educational institutions will have access to ultra-high-speed internet, regardless of the quality of the terrestrial infrastructure. This is especially important for rural and hard-to-reach regions, where a stable connection to the network has remained a serious problem and limited the digital capabilities of schools.

The ministry emphasizes that the initiative will reduce the digital divide, expand access to online education and modern educational platforms, and create conditions for the introduction of new technologies in the educational process throughout the country.

On December 13 of last year, Starlink received permission to operate in Armenia.
