In the Republic of Armenia, several highways are completely closed and difficult to pass for transport due to difficult weather conditions. The biggest problems are observed on the routes to the Amberd fortress and Lake Kari in the Aragatsotn region, the Vardenyats pass, as well as on the roads Berd-Chambarak, Lanjhar-Lusashog and Buzhakan-Aragyukh.
For trucks with trailers, the Noravan-Ltsen-Tatev sections, from "Zanger" to Sisian and the "Megru Sar" and Voskepar turns are closed, and other routes, including Artik-Maralik, Artik-Pemzashen, Vanadzor-Dilijan and Spitak-Gyumri, are difficult to pass. In a number of regions - Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni and others - there is ice in places, and it is snowing in Kajaran, Goris and Meghri.
Rescuers urge drivers to strictly observe safety rules, use winter tires and, if possible, limit travel until the weather stabilizes in order to avoid accidents and problems with movement.
