Ameriabank invested 5 million in saving the Spandaryan Canal

Water will return to Syunik

Ameriabank has joined the initiative of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund to restore the Spandaryan Canal in Syunik Province. Financial support in the amount of 5 million has been allocated to repair emergency sections of the canal, which will make it possible to restore water supply for several communities in the region.

The canal, which begins at an altitude of 2,280 meters, is currently 70% damaged, and local residents are facing a shortage of irrigation water. The reconstruction will affect the settlements of Sarnakunk, Ishkhanasar, Tsghuk, Spandaryan, Angeghakot, and Shaki. As a result of the work, 730 families and 4,320 residents will once again be able to fully use water resources, and 2,800 hectares of land will be irrigated efficiently, supporting the ecosystem and the region's economic opportunities.

The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund brings together more than 1.5 million Armenians and has invested over $500 million in more than 1,500 projects. Ameriabank, as Armenia's leading fintech organization, continues to introduce digital solutions and services that help improve quality of life and develop the country's economy.
