A second batch of fuel from Azerbaijan, amounting to several thousand tons, will arrive in Armenia in the coming days, with a cost significantly lower than the market price. This was announced by the Minister of Economy of the Republic, Gevorg Papoyan, who emphasized that the deliveries have already become a stable process and should not be perceived as a one-time sensation.
According to data disseminated by Azerbaijani media, the cargo includes approximately 1000 tons of A92 gasoline, 1000 tons of diesel fuel, and 1800 tons of A95 gasoline. Preliminary estimates suggest that the fuel price may be lower than the market price by about 80 drams. The Minister noted that the supply includes both premium and more mass-market types of fuel, which expands the choice for consumers.
Papoyan recalled that the first batch of Azerbaijani petroleum products, delivered on December 19 through the territory of Georgia, was completely sold out in a few days, which indicates high demand. According to him, the procurement mechanism has not changed, and new deliveries are expected in the future-the third, fifth, and subsequent deliveries, which will be carried out on a regular basis.
