Lawyer Goar Meloyan reported the hacking of the Armenian government's email, which compromised approximately 8 million files of confidential correspondence.
According to sources in the field of cybersecurity, the data has already been put up for sale on cybercriminal forums, which makes the situation particularly critical.
Meloyan stressed that the competent authorities should urgently confirm or deny the leak and, if confirmed, take action: assess the damage, minimize the consequences, identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The lawyer noted that this is a wake-up call for all citizens: personal data, state and military documents remain vulnerable, and their protection requires immediate strengthening. The situation underscores the importance of reliable cybersecurity at the state level.
