Armenian Minister of Environment Hambartsum Matevosyan is in the United Arab Emirates from January 12 to 15, 2026, to participate in the international conference "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week" (ADSW). The business trip is carried out by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
ADSW has been held annually since 2008 and brings together representatives of governments, the private sector and civil society to exchange experiences and discuss climate initiatives, innovative solutions and sustainable development projects.
The event is held under the patronage of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The summit is attended by heads of state, politicians, CEOs of large companies and industry leaders from around the world.
Armenia's participation in the 2026 conference is aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting the climate agenda and preparing for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) in Yerevan.
Matevosyan will present Armenia's experience in implementing sustainable development projects, as well as exchange best practices and technologies with international colleagues to improve the effectiveness of the country's environmental policy.
