Armenia Prepares High-Tech Development Strategy

The document is planned to be approved in the first half of 2026

A strategic program for the development of the high technology sector is being developed in Armenia. According to the government's press service, the work is being carried out within the framework of analyzing current achievements, identifying priority areas and formulating strategic goals. In the coming months, it is planned to finalize the action plan with all interested parties, and the document is scheduled to be approved in the first half of 2026.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed that digitalization should remain a priority for all ministries and departments of the country. "There can be no department in which digitalization is not among the priorities," he said, emphasizing the importance of introducing modern technologies in all areas of public administration.

In 2025, within the framework of the law "On State Support for the Sphere of High Technologies", businesses received 8.76 billion drams to attract labor migrants, hire new employees and retrain personnel. Applications for support are processed through an electronic platform that automatically calculates and makes decisions on the provision of subsidies, speeding up the process and making it more transparent.
