Unified Emergency Number 112 to Launch in Armenia on February 15

By calling 112, residents will be able to simultaneously call the police and rescuers

Starting February 15, a unified emergency response telephone number, 112, will begin operating in Armenia. Calls to the police and rescue services will be consolidated into a Unified Call Processing Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will allow for a more rapid response to emergency situations.

Citizens will be able to contact all subordinate services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a single call. This approach will speed up assistance, ensure a joint response from the police and rescuers, and reduce the time of arrival at the scene.

The agency emphasized that the new system will increase the efficiency of emergency services and the safety of the population, and residents will be able to quickly receive the necessary assistance in any critical situations.
