Armenia ends 2025 with economic growth

The country maintains a high growth rate

According to preliminary data, Armenia's economy grew by approximately 5.5–6% in 2025, according to Minister of Finance Vage Hovhannisyan. He emphasized that the country maintained a high growth rate, and the exact figures will be published after the data from the Statistical Committee.

From January to November of last year, economic activity increased by 8.3%, and inflation remained within the target range of about 3.3%. In these circumstances, the international rating agency Fitch revised its outlook on Armenia's long-term foreign currency rating from "stable" to "positive" and affirmed the rating at "BB-".

The forecasts for the coming years remain optimistic: the state budget envisages GDP growth of 5.1% in 2025 and 5.4% in 2026. International financial organizations also give similar estimates: the EDB and ADB expect 6% growth in 2025, the WB - 5.2%, the IMF - 5%, the EBRD - 6%.
