As of January 1, 2026, all procedures related to Armenian citizenship have been digitized, announced Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan. Now, applications for obtaining or terminating citizenship are accepted exclusively through the online platform, and verification, queue management, and payment processing also take place electronically.
The Migration and Citizenship Service has updated the website migration.mia.gov.am and created a Telegram channel to inform citizens. The platform is adapted for different devices and is accessible from anywhere in the world.
The application process includes registration on the website, creation and editing of a preliminary application, after which the applicant needs to visit the Migration Service only once for the final procedure.
