Fuel prices in Armenia have fallen sharply: gasoline down 15.7%, diesel down 14.6%

Supplies from Azerbaijan via Georgia have reduced the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced a noticeable decrease in fuel prices in the country. Since the beginning of December, A95 gasoline has fallen in price from 510 to 430 drams per liter, which is a decrease of 15.7%. Diesel fuel decreased from 480 to 410 drams per liter, or 14.6%. The minister noted that a large network of gas stations is already purchasing Azerbaijani petroleum products and will begin selling fuel at reduced prices in the coming days.

The price reduction was made possible by rail supplies from Azerbaijan via Georgia. In mid-December 2025, a train of 22 wagons with 1,218 tons of gasoline arrived in Armenia, and at the beginning of January, another 7,600 tons of gasoline and diesel fuel were on the way.

Rail supplies are being implemented within the framework of agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, as well as memorandums of understanding with the participation of the US and Armenian governments, which ensures a regular supply of fuel and stabilization of prices in the domestic market.
