The United States intends to conclude an agreement with Armenia on peaceful nuclear cooperation. This was announced by US President Donald Trump, calling the future document a "wonderful agreement." He published a corresponding message on the Truth Social social network, emphasizing the importance of developing bilateral relations in a strategically sensitive area.

The American leader also announced that in February, US Vice President JD Vance will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan. Trump thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for complying with the peace agreement signed last August. According to him, the end of the conflict made it possible to move from war to stability, peace and economic development of the region.

Recall that on August 8, 2025, in Washington, the leaders of Armenia, the United States and Azerbaijan signed a declaration of 7 points. The document provides for the initialing of a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku, the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Process, the development of transport links between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia, as well as cooperation between Armenia and the United States and other countries within the framework of the TRIPP project - "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity."
