In Armenia, driver's licenses and vehicle registration certificates have been digitized, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan. Now, with a valid driver's license, there is no need to carry a plastic document.
Digitization covers the entire process of obtaining licenses, registering vehicles, and related procedures. About 600 operations have already been carried out electronically through the state platform car.mia.gov.am. Users can log in to their personal account and obtain their digital driver's license; registration certificates have also been digitized similarly.
Sargsyan emphasized that a digital document is sufficient for domestic checks, and administrative measures for the absence of plastic are not applied. The plastic version will only be required when traveling outside of Armenia.
