The first offline event of the AI qez ban community was held in Yerevan, bringing together participants in the educational programs of the reArmenia academy, business representatives, and experts in the field of artificial intelligence. The participants discussed the impact of AI on Armenia's development, the transformation of education, and the need for mass AI literacy. According to the organizers, the meeting became a starting point for forming an active community and developing further steps.
The AI qez ban project has been operating for just over six months and already includes courses of various levels — from basic ones for beginners to professional programs for specific specialties. The training is adapted to the needs of learners and is built around solving real-world tasks. During this time, a community of about 9 thousand people has formed around the project, and the goal for the next 5 years is to train at least 1 million Armenians. The academy has also begun exporting educational services beyond the country.
Experts noted that Armenia has high potential in the field of AI, but for now lags behind in terms of institutional readiness. AI is already being actively introduced in business, including the banking sector, and is viewed as a tool for increasing efficiency rather than replacing humans.
Participants emphasized that the key factor for success will be the simultaneous development of AI products, tools, and mass user education.
