In Yerevan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia is working with all countries possessing nuclear technologies, including France, the United States, Russia and South Korea. According to him, after receiving all the necessary data, decisions will be made on the project to build a new nuclear power unit.
Pashinyan recalled that on August 8, 2025, three memorandums of intent were signed in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump, one of which concerned the energy and nuclear sector. The sides plan to continue cooperation and discuss the possibility of implementing a peaceful nuclear project.

Earlier, Trump said that Vice President J.D. Vance would visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in February to promote the TRIPP project and establish peace in the region. According to him, the United States intends to conclude a "wonderful agreement on peaceful nuclear cooperation" with Armenia.
