In January 2026, the annual inflation rate in Armenia was 3.8%, according to data from the Statistical Committee. This indicator has been maintained near the Central Bank's target (3 ± 1%) for several months, indicating stable monetary policy and price control.
The main driver of growth remains food: they rose in price by 5.9% over the year. This is especially noticeable in basic categories — vegetables, meat and dairy products, which significantly impacts family budgets.
The largest jump was recorded for alcohol and tobacco products — the price increase was 9%. The reason is another increase in excise taxes from the beginning of the year as part of Armenia's obligations to the EAEU, which affected the cost of familiar goods for many citizens.
