Armenia changes the balance of metal extraction: more zinc, less molybdenum

Copper production is nearly stable, but molybdenum is losing ground

In Armenia, in 2025, copper concentrate output decreased by 0.4% and amounted to 300,502 tonnes, according to data from the country's Statistical Committee. At the same time, zinc concentrate production increased by 10.5%, reaching 11,608 tonnes, while molybdenum concentrate fell by 13.6% to 14,738 tonnes.

In addition, ferromolybdenum output fell by a third — by 33.6%, to 2,980 tonnes. Analysts note that such changes may be linked to fluctuations in global metal prices and adjustments to production plans amid demand and investment in the mining sector.
