Armenia's IT sector exceeds $2.5 billion mark

Turnover exceeds 1 trillion drams

In 2025, the turnover of Armenia's high-tech sector exceeded 1 trillion drams, which is equivalent to more than $2.58 billion. This was announced by Minister Ayrapetyan. For comparison, at the end of 2024, the figure was about 915 billion drams — just over $2.37 billion, which indicates a noticeable increase over the year.

The minister clarified that the statistics include not only software development, but also production and assembly of electronic products. Thus, we are talking about a broader technological segment than just IT services.

The industry's exports in 2025 reached 715.5 billion drams ($1.86 billion) against approximately 702 billion drams ($1.82 billion) a year earlier. Despite the moderate dynamics of external supplies, the total turnover continues to grow steadily, confirming the strengthening of the technological sector in the country's economy.
