Firebird to invest $4 billion in AI factory construction in Armenia

American startup prepares to supply servers and GPUs, service launch scheduled for the second half of the year

American startup Firebird has begun preparations for the construction of a large AI factory in Armenia worth $4 billion. According to the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, construction work will start in the near future: the company has already purchased a plot of land for the factory, and procedures for obtaining permits and preparatory work are underway.

The first batch of server equipment and graphics processing units (GPUs) will be delivered to the country within two months, assembled, and placed on the site. Firebird plans to start providing AI services in the second half of 2026. The necessary export permits and licenses for the first two stages of construction have already been obtained for the project.

Hayrapetyan emphasized that the startup has agreements with NVIDIA for the supply of GPUs and with Dell, which will prepare server equipment for the installation of processors. The factory will create a significant technological cluster in the country, stimulating the development of artificial intelligence and the IT sector of Armenia.
