YouTube monetization in Armenia may start in spring

Authorities are negotiating with Google to give content creators new opportunities

The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, announced that the launch of the YouTube Partner Program in the country may take place in late April — early May 2026. For a long time, the government, including the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed the terms with Google and YouTube to activate monetization for Armenian content creators.

According to the minister, during the visit of US Vice President Jay Dee Vance to Yerevan on February 9–10, YouTube's plans for the spring were confirmed. This will allow authors to officially earn money from their videos and stimulate the development of the digital ecosystem in the country.

Hayrapetyan noted that the partnership with YouTube is important for promoting Armenian culture, innovation and content on a global level. It is assumed that the new tool will expand the capabilities of the local blogger community and increase the country's recognition in the international digital environment.
