Air Baltic will begin operating charter flights on the Yerevan-Riga-Yerevan route starting May 2, according to the Tourism Committee of Armenia.
The launch of direct flights was discussed at a meeting between the head of the committee, Lusine Gevorkyan, with the Latvian Ambassador to Armenia, Edite Medne, and Honorary Consul Armen Kasaboghlyan. The parties emphasized that the new flights would create additional opportunities for the growth of tourist flows in both directions.
The meeting participants also considered the prospects for expanding Armenian-Latvian cooperation in the tourism sector and measures aimed at intensifying interaction ahead of the start of the charter program.
