In Armenia, according to the results of January 2026, an increase in economic activity of 7.6% was recorded in annual terms. Such preliminary data was published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia. At the same time, compared to December 2025, the indicator decreased immediately by 48.3%, which is explained by a seasonal factor.

Positive dynamics were noted in all key sectors. Industry added 10.6% year-on-year, output amounted to 229,540.6 million drams, although a decrease of 56.7% was recorded in monthly comparison. The construction industry grew by 18.7% - up to 22,262.0 million drams, but decreased by 86.6% by December.

The turnover of domestic trade reached 414,744.5 million drams (+0.7% per year), but decreased by 50.9% compared to the previous month. The service sector, excluding trade, increased by 7.4% - up to 317,991.5 million drams, with a monthly decrease of 21.6%.
