The Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, visited Engineering City, where he held a meeting with representatives of the engineering community. The event took place in the newly opened Ground Zero venture cafe, which brought together representatives from over 20 resident companies of the high-tech startup accelerator. Hayrapetyan emphasized the importance of such platforms for exchanging experience, building a trusting environment, and stimulating creative thinking, which contributes to new partnerships, joint projects, and investment initiatives.
During the meeting, the minister outlined the government's strategic priorities, noting the need for continuous development of Armenia's engineering capabilities and expansion of the Engineering City model in the country's regions. According to him, this is one of the key instruments of state policy to support the high-tech sector and form an innovative ecosystem.
The founder of Ground Zero, Karen Gyulbudagyan, spoke about the philosophy of the project, emphasizing that the platform serves not only commercial purposes but is also a public platform for exchanging ideas, organizing professional discussions, and promoting public activities. Participants of the meeting presented their observations and suggestions, discussed opportunities for cooperation, new initiatives, and existing challenges in the engineering sector of Armenia.
