A Landmark Structure Planned for Construction in Yerevan

A new architectural dominant building may appear in the center of Yerevan. The project of the World Trade Center Yerevan complex, which is planned to be built on the site of the Central Post Office on Saryan Street, will be developed by the studio of the famous architect Norman Foster — Foster + Partners.

The future complex will become one of the tallest in the capital: the height of the tower will exceed 40 floors. The project is expected to bring modern architectural aesthetics to the city's appearance and become a new center of attraction for business activity.

Foster + Partners, founded by Norman Foster, has built many iconic high-tech buildings around the world, including the Mary Axe skyscraper (London), the Millau Viaduct (France), airports in Beijing and Hong Kong, and the RMK headquarters (Russia). Their projects are distinguished by the use of glass, metal and sustainable technologies.
