The National Assembly of Armenia has adopted amendments to the Tax Code, according to which citizens will receive an electronic cash register receipt when receiving medical services. This was announced by Tsovinar Vardanyan, a deputy from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction.
Previously, electronic receipts were issued only when paying through POS terminals, and there was no such possibility when using other payment terminals. Now, all data on the provided medical services will be recorded in the Armed system, which will allow collecting information on the expenses and services of citizens.
According to Vardanyan, the new system will make it possible to analyze the process of providing medical services and identify problems with medical insurance. In the long term, this will create a unified information system, and current non-cash payments through terminals will become completely transparent and accounted for.
