Armenian Industry Starts the Year with Strong Growth

Supplies of electricity, gas, steam, and purified air have increased

In January 2026, the volume of industrial production in Armenia reached 229.5 billion drams, showing an increase of 10.6% compared to January of last year. The country's Statistical Committee notes that the manufacturing industry remains the leader in production, providing 129.8 billion drams and a growth of 4.3% year-on-year.

The mining industry and open-pit mines also significantly increased by 25.2%, reaching 51.6 billion drams, and the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and purified air increased by 17%, amounting to 45.6 billion drams. The water supply, sewerage, and waste processing sector added 5.4%, providing 2.5 billion drams.

In terms of industrial production structure, the manufacturing industry accounts for more than half - 56.5%, the share of the mining industry is 22.5%, the energy sector - 19.9%, and water supply and waste processing - 1.1%. The results of January show steady growth and diversity in the country's industrial production.
