Turkish Airlines Launches Daily Flights Between Istanbul and Yerevan

The number of flights will increase to 10 per week from May, and to 14 in the summer

Turkish Airlines has started operating regular flights on the Istanbul–Yerevan–Istanbul route. The first plane arrived at Zvartnots International Airport from Istanbul Airport, the press service of the Yerevan airport reported.

The welcoming of the inaugural flight took place with the participation of representatives of aviation and government structures. Among them were Stepan Payaslyan, Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, Marcelo Wende, Director of Armenia International Airports, as well as representatives of the airline — Hussein Ozbek, Vice President of Sales in Eastern Europe, and Kenan Indje, Regional Director for Georgia and Armenia.

At the first stage, flights on the Istanbul–Yerevan–Istanbul route will be operated daily. From May 14, the frequency will be increased to 10 flights per week, and from June 15 to 14 flights. This will significantly expand transport links between Yerevan and Istanbul.
