Armenia Securities Exchange Considers Launching Crypto Platform

The project could be launched by the end of 2026

The Armenia Securities Exchange is exploring the possibility of creating its own platform for trading crypto assets. This was announced by the exchange's CEO, Hayk Yeganyan.

According to him, the project could be launched by the end of 2026. Various formats for the future platform are currently being considered. One option involves organizing secondary trading of crypto assets issued on other crypto exchanges. The possibility of conducting its own token offerings, including ICOs, is also being discussed.

Yeganyan noted that the project is still in the discussion stage, but the participation of an international partner is not excluded. At the same time, the rules for registration and operation of the platform are planned to be developed in accordance with international transparency standards.

In addition, the head of AMX recalled that the exchange continues to develop cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Thanks to the existing communication channel, brokers from Armenia can buy securities on the Abu Dhabi exchange without opening accounts in the UAE — settlements are carried out through the National Depository of Armenia. A similar opportunity is available to brokers from Abu Dhabi as well.
