The number of applications from foreign applicants to Armenian universities in 2025 increased by 90%. This was announced by Zhanna Andreasyan, noting that this growth was made possible by the introduction of a digital document submission system, which greatly simplified the admission process for students from other countries.
According to her, the online platform has reduced bureaucracy and made the application process more accessible and understandable. This has increased interest in Armenian education and made it more competitive on the international stage.
In total, 10,970 first-year students entered universities in Armenia in 2025. At the same time, 59% of them chose STEM fields — science, technology, engineering and mathematics, which reflects the growing interest in technical and applied specialties.
