The country has recorded significant progress in telecommunications and digital infrastructure

Armenia has made significant progress in telecommunications and the development of digital infrastructure, said Kristine Gyonchyan, Director of the Union of Operators of Armenia, at the opening of "Telecommunications Week 2026." She emphasized that modern digital technologies are no longer just a service, but a foundation for the economy, education, public services and innovation.

Gyonchyan noted that the "Telecommunications Week" initiative brings together the efforts of the state, the private sector and international participants, creating a platform for dialogue and partnership. "Digital infrastructure creates an environment in which business and society develop," she added, emphasizing the importance of sustainable ICT development.

The event program is full of events: on March 24, the International Telecommunication Union conference will be held with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, on March 25 - a seminar on ICT regulation and a round table on modern media trends. On March 26, participants will visit telecommunications facilities, and March 27 has been declared an academic day with educational sessions and master classes.
