Armenia bets on transparent AI and calls on allies for common rules

Armenia adheres to the principle of open and transparent development

Yerevan has advocated for the open development of artificial intelligence technologies and proposed to enshrine this at the level of the entire Eurasian Union. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council that the country supports the preparation of a joint document on the responsible use of AI within the EAEU.

According to him, the creation of own digital platforms and algorithms will reduce dependence on external factors and form a sustainable basis for the growth of a high-tech economy. This approach should increase the competitiveness of the Union countries and strengthen their position in the global digital environment.

Grigoryan stressed that AI and digitalization are already actively changing the economy, affecting production, logistics and interaction between states and businesses. The introduction of these solutions contributes to increased efficiency and reduced costs, while strengthening the technological independence of the association members.
