For the first time in the history of the Armenian financial system, six banks and investment funds have united for the syndicated financing of the Firebird AI megaproject.
The loan amount totaled $300 million, which became a key part of the initial investment stage of $450 million. The deal, organized by Ardshinbank, brought together Ardshinbank, Acba Bank, Evocabank, Fast Bank, C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management Armenia, and Amundi-Acba Asset Management.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, the Head of the Central Bank, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy. Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan noted that the project supports the development of the technological sector, science, and economy of the country, as well as strengthens bilateral cooperation with the United States in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
The Firebird AI project envisages the creation of the region's largest data center for AI, with a subsequent expansion to 41,000 NVIDIA GPUs, which will bring the total investment to $4 billion. This will allow research and technology companies to implement modern AI technologies, bringing Armenia into the ranks of world leaders in the field of computing innovation.
