Kamertoon presented the ambitious Hrazdan Nature Park project, which will transform the Hrazdan River gorge into a natural-urban park with a length of 10 km — from the TUMO center to Yerevan Lake. Preparatory work has already begun, including the repair of the underpass at the intersection of Mashtots and Paronyan, one of the main exits to the gorge. The total implementation cost is estimated at $15 million, and the master plan was developed by the architectural bureau Proforma.
The project involves the creation of a single "green ridge" with key zones. The Three Bridges Park will unite the Aqueduct, Victory Bridge and Red Bridge into a pedestrian route. Sports and cultural clusters will include tennis and paddle courts, an "Art Trail" along the cliffs and the Odeon amphitheater. Special attention is paid to Hrazdan Baths — a system of public pools that returns the tradition of recreation by the water.
The implementation is divided into two phases: the first covers the Three Bridges Park (1000 m), connecting historical monuments, the second — the improvement of the entire territory from TUMO to Yerevan Lake. The concept has already been presented to the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Yerevan, and the authorities are expected to decide on the transition to the next stage.
