The Nairi Cinema has reopened in Yerevan after a four-year hiatus. The space has undergone a large-scale reconstruction and now combines a historical appearance with modern technical equipment, transforming into a full-fledged cultural center.
According to director Lianna Tamrazyan, the building was previously in a difficult condition due to technical and seismic problems, but they were successfully eliminated. The main task for the near future is to return the venue to active cultural life and adapt it to modern event formats.
Currently, one hall with 197 seats is open, but there are plans to launch two more. In addition to film screenings, "Nairi" will become a platform for meetings, discussions, and stand-up shows. Inside, there is also a bar, a communication area, and a VIP space, and after the completion of legal procedures, the cinema will be able to fully utilize all the premises of the building.
