The head of the Central Bank of Armenia, Martin Galstyan, stated that the republic could become a connecting link between continents for markets, ideas, and new opportunities. He announced this at the Doing Digital 2026 forum, where the prospects of the digital economy are being discussed.
According to him, two basic conditions are necessary to realize this ambition: a stable macroeconomic environment and a modern financial and digital infrastructure. It is the combination of stability and technology that can attract investment, simplify international cooperation, and accelerate business development.
A key role in this process is played by coordination between the Central Bank, the government, and the private sector. The digital transformation is based on digital identification systems, cybersecurity, data compatibility, and effective data management — without this, it is impossible to create a full-fledged platform for integrating the country's economy into global processes.
