Armenia is creating a digital system for all land border checkpoints

The platform will integrate data from countries and speed up border crossing

At the Doing Digital Forum 2026, head Eduard Hakobyan announced the development of a unified electronic platform for managing all land border checkpoints in Armenia. The system will be integrated with the country's databases and foreign partners, allowing for complete information about cargo and transport even before arrival at the border, which will reduce queues and speed up customs procedures.

The new platform includes the introduction of automatic weighing of trucks without stopping, X-ray scanners with AI, and risk analysis systems. These technologies will allow for the inspection of cargo with almost no contact and faster identification of suspicious shipments.

It is also planned to use "smart" devices for digital tracking of trucks across Armenia. According to Hakobyan, this will bring the servicing of international cargo traffic to the level of modern world standards.
