Armenia calls on allies: TRIPP project enters construction phase and requires external support

Yerevan is ready to involve third countries in a large-scale transit corridor that connects interests from Asia to Europe

Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that Armenia and the United States are continuing to work on the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project, despite the unstable global situation. According to him, the parties are at the stage of preparing an interstate agreement, and the transition to construction is expected in the near future.

Mirzoyan noted that the next stage of implementation will require the participation of third partners, as the project affects the interests of a wide range of countries — from China to Portugal and neighboring countries in the region. He announced this at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, emphasizing that consultations with the United States are continuing on a regular basis.

The TRIPP project envisages the creation of a multimodal transit route through the territory of Armenia, including a possible link between the main part of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan, and integration into the Trans-Caspian Corridor. Earlier in Washington, the parties presented a framework agreement providing for the creation of a management company with the right to implement the project for a period of up to 49 years, which makes the initiative one of the key ones in the region.
