Armenia to Purchase Computing Power from Firebird AI

New program will provide access to resources for startups, scientists, and developers

The government of Armenia will purchase high-performance computing power from Firebird AI for $25 million over a period of 5 years. This concerns resources for artificial intelligence, which will be used, among other things, in the data center under construction in Hrazdan.

According to Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the program aims to support startups, research teams, educational institutions, and individual specialists. They will be provided with access to infrastructure for the development, training, and implementation of AI systems.

The distribution of resources will take place through the Artificial Intelligence Virtual Institute (AIVI) platform, which will become a single window for submitting applications and interacting with participants. The authorities expect that the initiative will accelerate the development of the local AI ecosystem and strengthen the country's position in the field of high technology.
