The U.S. is not abandoning TRIPP: the $145 million project remains a priority for the region

Washington confirms support for the transport corridor and promises investment in infrastructure and security

The U.S. administration remains committed to the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project. This was stated by a representative of the U.S. Department of State, emphasizing that the initiative remains one of the key areas of Washington's policy in the South Caucasus.

The project involves the creation of a multimodal transport hub that will provide communication between the main territory of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan, while maintaining the sovereignty and jurisdiction of Armenia. The U.S. believes that the implementation of TRIPP will significantly strengthen regional connectivity and open up new opportunities for economic growth.

To launch the initiative, Washington has already made initial commitments of $145 million. The funds are planned to be directed to the development of trade, infrastructure and border security. The State Department also noted that Armenia continues to cooperate with the U.S. and a number of third countries to accelerate the transition of the project to practical implementation.
