In 2025, the Armenian economy demonstrated a sharp inflow of capital: the total volume of investments increased by 88% compared to 2024, and direct investments increased by 3.6 times at once. This was announced by the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, emphasizing the accelerating interest of foreign investors in the real sector.
At the end of the year, the total volume of foreign investments reached $2.23 billion against $1.18 billion a year earlier. Direct investments amounted to $605.1 million (against $131.6 million in 2024), portfolio investments - $564.8 million (previously $106.1 million), and other investments - $1.06 billion against $947.3 million. This dynamic indicates the expansion of both long-term and financial investment instruments.
The main sources of capital were the USA, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Switzerland and France. According to the authorities, the growth of investments reflects the increasing confidence in the country's economy and the strengthening role of Armenia as a regional platform for international business.
