Armenia and Qatar are preparing an investment breakthrough: what will change for business

The parties are betting on energy, infrastructure and the digital economy

Armenia and Qatar intend to intensify investment cooperation and expand cooperation in key sectors of the economy. These issues were discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Finance of Armenia, Vage Hovhannisyan, and the Ambassador of Qatar, Mansour Abdullah Al-Sulaiti. The focus is on joint projects and exchange of experience in energy, infrastructure, agriculture and digital transformation.

The parties confirmed that the development of the partnership corresponds to the priorities of Armenia's economic policy. Special emphasis is placed on creating favorable conditions for investors and strengthening business ties between the countries.

The role of the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, which has already been signed between the governments of the two states, was separately noted. It is expected that this document will simplify the work of business and become an additional incentive for the growth of mutual investments and the launch of new joint projects.
